Man Mo Temple - Hollywood Road, Hong Kong,

Maybe I'm old-fashioned view of what tourist attractions are meant to be, in a simplistic way, I believe a good tourist attraction is a site that is open to the public and have enough time to walk, study, talk, soak in the atmosphere, etc. . and then the photos, as a constant reminder of your holiday.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I do take issue with tourist attractions that are sanctioned by the HK Tourist Board, are greatly improved, they are world famous, and when you get there, not photos or video are allowed, it seems is pretty stupid rule to implement given that the vast majority of temples around Hong Kong is no problem at all with photographs.

these two temples are world famous, I think that probably every tourist arriving in Hong Kong did not know about them and must make a list of Western tourists to visit for cultural purposes, and Chinese tourists to pray and when inside to was really hard not to reach for the camera.

I understand (as far as anyone can understand) that houses of worship, and I always observe the proper protocol and imagine the vast majority of visitors will also show the proper respect, but it seems very strange that these temples are very specific as to promote tourism attraction, thus attracting many visitors and are both in central and easily accessible place, and apparently visitors like to take photos.

you can get the photos out of the temple, and if you have a quick photo through the door, but that's it. I visited the site recently and appear to spend no pictures or videos Policy.

...

In my opinion, if the owners or administrators of temples you want privacy, then shut them down completely and not have them promoted as a tourist site, it's even sillier when you put the characters seek silence and respect which is not what you get busloads of tourists who come every 15 minutes !!
