Amsterdam is by far one of the most unique cities in Europe. Visited by thousands of people each month still managed to remain intact in their own culture. You can enjoy the beauty and splendor of the city everywhere, taking a walk along the canal or just enjoy a relaxing time in one of the many cafes in the city center. However, for many visitors it would not be enough, but to experience more of Amsterdam you should visit the various tourist spots in the city.
Amsterdam offers plenty of places to see and visit for the casual traveler interested in Dutch history, art and culture. It might be difficult to choose the best attractions to enjoy so help with that I have compiled a list of some must-see tourist attraction in Amsterdam.
Canal Ring
Amsterdam's city center is based on three channels plus a collection of smaller ones. For this reason the city is often called the Venice of the north. You can walk along the canal or to book a boat trip. You can also experience the famous canals of biking with them, which is one of the most popular ways to get to the city.
Rijksmuseum
Another great place to visit is the Dutch National Museum, the Rijksmuseum, or as it is called in Dutch. It is the largest museum in the Netherlands and home to some of the most famous works of art from the Dutch golden age. Rembrandt, Vermeer and Hals are exposed there, and some of the items from the Dutch research.
Van Gogh Museum
